The week started off in Vancouver with the BC & Yukon Chamber of Mines on Monday morning and finished with a great announcement of some provincial funding for the Elder Citizens Recreation Assoc (ECRA) where we were able to fund almost $800,000 towards the completion of the expanded centre.

This week promises to be a busy one as we are back in the Legislature. Tuesday will be the Speech from the Throne that will outline some of the key initiatives we will be pursuing over the next year. This will be followed by a debate on the Speech and then the budget will follow on Feb. 15. As a member of Treasury Board, it has been really fun this year and I think some of the new initiatives we are bringing forward will really make a difference.
